To register for our workshop, download the registration form here:
Register by June 23 to avoid a late fee; July 7 (postmarked) is the final registration deadline (individual exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis).
How to fill out and send the registration form: This PDF is also a fillable form (8.5 x 14) that can be completed offline using Acrobat Reader or Preview (or other PDF reader), or a browser such as Chrome or Firefox.
#1: Mail Only: Download the PDF, print and complete manually, then mail original form and check to the Registrar. Make checks payable to “HFAA.” Keep a copy of the completed form.
#2: Email & Mail: Download the PDF, open with Preview, Acrobat Reader, or in a browser window. Fill in the form fields and save, then email the form to the Registrar and mail your check payable to "HFAA" separately. Important note: Registration will only be confirmed using the postmarked date of your check.

Scholarships: If you are applying for a Balchen-Hegge-Skjervheim-Hilger Hardingfele Scholarship or the Harold K. Sersland Young Dancer Scholarship, please note that scholarship applicants do not need to send in a workshop registration form until after scholarships have been awarded. To apply for a work scholarship, see our Scholarships page and contact workshopchair@hfaa.org by May 1. Successful applicants will be notified by May 30; you must send a completed registration form and check by the June 23 registration deadline to guarantee your position.
Fees: Prices on the registration form are for HFAA members; non-members pay a $25 surcharge. Alternatively, one can become a member at the time of workshop registration and pay the member price. There is a fee of $25 to borrow a hardingfele for use during the workshop and a fee of $8 to request a paper copy of the booklet of tune transcriptions; deadline for both is June 23.
Housing costs are not included in the Registration Fee. See prices for tent site or bunkhouses at Folklore Village on the Registration Form. Please note: Space in the bunkhouses (now air-conditioned) is limited. You may wish to tent instead; or you can reserve at a local hotel, motel or campground. See the list here.
Refunds: Cancel by June 23, full refund less a $20 handling charge (per registration); between June 24 and July 7, refund is the greater of $20 or 70% of the registration fee; after July 7, 20% refund. The HFAA will provide documentation of a 501(c)(3) contribution for the non-refundable portion of registration fees for canceled registrations. We will refund all payments in the event that we are forced to cancel our workshop because of any circumstances beyond our control.
