Farwell Hall with garden

Housing at Folklore Village

Most workshop attendees stay on-site at Folklore Village. NEW! Now attendees can take advantage of the newly-air-conditioned bunkhouses (one for men, one for women) where space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tenting is also available in a lovely lawn area with trees and shrubs, very close to Farwell Hall. Sign up for a bunkhouse space or a tent site when you register. You will be notified if bunkhouses fill up so that other options can be considered. (To reserve bunkhouse space for Wednesday night before the workshop, call Folklore Village direct at 608-924-4000. The bunkhouses are not available on Sunday night.) Showers are available in the main hall. Attendees not staying at Folklore Village must make their own local hotel/motel reservations. Some of the places listed below offer discount rates if you mention Folklore Village.

Meals at Folklore Village

Workshop attendees enjoy delicious and healthy meals from our longtime favorite J. Miller of RedBarn Catering. A vegetarian option is available. No discount in the registration price is given for meals not eaten at Folklore Village. For more information about meal options contact workshopchair@hfaa.org.
