Housing at Folklore Village
Most workshop attendees stay on-site at Folklore Village, either in tents or in non-air-conditioned bunkhouses (one for men, one for women) where space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up for a bunkhouse space or tent site for during the workshop when you register. You will be notified if bunkhouses fill up so that other options can be considered. (To reserve bunkhouse space for Wednesday night before the workshop, call Folklore Village direct at 608-924-4000. The bunkhouses are not available on Sunday night.) Showers are available in the main hall. Attendees not staying at Folklore Village must make their own local hotel/motel reservations. Some of the places listed below offer discount rates if you mention Folklore Village.
Meals at Folklore Village
Workshop attendees enjoy delicious and healthy meals from our longtime favorite J. Miller of RedBarn Catering. A vegetarian option is available. No discount in the registration price is given for meals not eaten at Folklore Village. For more information about meal options contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
