The HFAA is proud to announce our second annual Online Winter Workshop, “Open Hearth”, to take place on Zoom February 5-6, 2022. It will feature Beginning/Intermediate hardingfele taught by Vidar Skrede, Intermediate/Advanced hardingfele taught by Håkon Høgemo, and dance taught by Anbjørg Myhra Bergwitz and Audun Grüner-Hegge, plus NEW this year: a special session featuring a short performance and conversation with renowned composer/performer Anne Hytta about modern “5+5” Hardanger fiddles (also commonly referred to as Hardanger d'amore) and their usage in both traditional and contemporary contexts. Also returning is our popular Luthiers’ Corner, as well as your favorite evening party dance/fiddling activities. Registration is free! If you have questions please write to winterworkshop@hfaa.org. We hope to see you there!
