2004 Annual Workshops

Our 21st annual HFAA workshop took place July 29th to August 1st at Folklore Village Farm in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Classes in Hardingfele were taught by Jan Beitohaugen Granli, Sarah Kirton, Karen Solgård, and Toby Weinberg. Erik and Anne Røine taught Valdresspringar dance. Mikkel Thompson taught gammeldans. Munnharpe was taught by Erik Røine. All teachers received rave reviews from participants.

See photos of this event by Harriet Gerber, Hege Ravdal, and Annamarie Pluhar.

Friday evening we had a talent Showcase. The Showcase is an opportunity for workshop participants to perform for the community. On Saturday, our traditional concert began with a procession of all fiddle students and teachers. At this concert, the teachers performed. Every evening had a dance party. We have pictures of some of the Saturday night party. Magic moments happened throughout the workshop.
